Mathematics — first biennium · Lesson
A binomial square is the binomial multiplied by itself. Expansion produces two equal mixed products, which is why the middle term is 2ab. Its sign follows the sign between the terms of the binomial.
A typical mistake is forgetting the double product and writing only a²+b².
In this lesson: Understand a binomial square as a product and obtain the first square, double product and second square.
You can already assume: Multiplying polynomials.
