Mathematics — first biennium · Lesson
The degree of a reduced polynomial is the highest degree among its terms. A polynomial is ordered when terms are arranged by decreasing degree. In one variable it is complete when every power from the highest degree down to the constant term is present.
Degree 3; ordered; not complete because x² is missing.
Degree 2; ordered and complete: x², x and the constant term are present.
In this lesson: Determine degree, ordered form and completeness of a polynomial in one variable.
You can already assume: Polynomial reduction and monomial degree.
