Mathematics — first biennium · Lesson
In an expression, do not start calculating immediately. First inspect the parenthesized block and decide whether it is a general product, a sum-times-difference product, or a binomial square. Only then expand that block and reduce the final result.
Which structure do you recognize in the first block? Choose the rule before calculating, not after.
In this lesson: Choose the correct strategy, expand the priority block and reduce an expression involving polynomials and notable products.
You can already assume: Addition/subtraction, polynomial multiplication and notable products.

ConceptStep separates what is required from what is recommended or useful as reinforcement. Only required prerequisites block your progress.
Relationships: solid line = required · dashed line = recommended · dotted line = reinforcement.
