Mathematics — first biennium · Lesson
A relation is a function when every input x is associated with exactly one output y. Different inputs may share the same output.
In this lesson: Recognize a function from input-output pairs and identify domain and image.
How to proceed: Check the inputs, the first coordinates: if the same x appears with two different y-values, it is not a function. The domain collects x-values; the image collects the y-values actually produced.
You can already assume: Sets and ordered pairs; relations recommended.
