Equations with parentheses and rational coefficients

Mathematics — first biennium · Lesson

Equations · 6

When parentheses or fractional coefficients appear, do not apply mechanical rules immediately. First simplify both sides: use the distributive property, combine like terms and keep fractions exact. Then apply the equivalence principles.
